Something’s happening to the faster side of dance music, and Sam Binga has placed himself firmly at the center of this new wave. The Bristol-based cornerstone has built an unmatched reputation for high-energy, genre-fluid DJ sets and forward-thinking productions that fuse global club sounds with UK soundsystem grit. Between his own releases on some of dance music’s most respected underground labels and his own imprint, Pineapple Records, Binga is at the forefront of high energy dance music as a producer and tastemaker.
From polyrhythmic techno, to dancehall, to techy minimal drum & bass, the past 10 years have found the Brazilian-American producer Andre Lira, aka Doctor Jeep, exploring dance music from a global lens. While attending college in Boston he quickly gained notoriety as one of the city’s most eclectic young selectors, blending everything from drum & bass, dubstep, and uk garage to techno, electro, and classic house. With DJ sets mixing the past, present, and future of dance music in some of North America and Europe’s best clubs, he has proven to adapt to any vibe and make it his own style of party.
J:drive channels the hard-groove heart of the rave-punchy, percussive, and built for motion-balanced with the melodic undercurrent of club music that keeps you locked in. Her sets are unapologetically kinetic: a tightrope between precision and chaos, body and release. On the rooftop and the bar level, we’re excited to host some of DC’s most esteemed tastemakers. Sketchy Pete & Corporate Thugz team up for some white collar crime exploring baile, bass, and everything in between. Heaven dancing club stalwarts Lex Nell & Sovthpaw take over the bar level exploring the deep catacombs of techno.
